Summer is my second favorite season in Connecticut (after Spring), especially when I get to spend it on the coast, taking pictures of beautiful families like this one!
Valdette and her husband, Fran met at a family wedding, back in Albania, their home of origin. They emigrated here to the US, and chose to buy a house and settle their roots in East Lyme, Connecticut for their children (Brianna and Sebastian’s) education. Val contacted me to schedule a family session as a way to celebrate she and Fran’s wedding anniversary. Scroll down to see some beautiful and candid family moments!
It’s not always easy getting a partner or spouse on board for family photos, but when I asked Val how she broke it to Fran that she booked a session, she said “I just pretty much said ‘hey baby we are getting our 20th Anniversary photo session done’ and he just went with the flow!” The images go to show that he enjoyed himself too!
It was important to Val that her pictures captured her family as they are, that their energy and love for each other was documented so they could really cherish this stage of their lives. When I asked Val what her sweetest, most memorable moment of parenthood has been so far, she responded “Every day since the day they were born. My children bring joy to my life and I like to enjoy every moment and every second of it.” The amount of love and joy she and her children share for each other shows loud and clear in these photos!
