The Mamahood Project is an art exhibit to celebrate mothers and the beauty and power of motherhood. This is the inaugural, or first ever of an annual exhibition featuring portraits and stories of mothers from all around the Southeastern Connecticut and Rhode Island area. The first exhibition will be hosted by The Mix in Niantic, Connecticut, commencing around Mother’s Day 2024. 

The exhibition will showcase the selected mamas with an image from their session, a little bit of her story (optional), and a piece of wisdom from each. Magazines of the whole collection will be available for purchase at the exhibition opening, and all proceeds from the magazines will benefit the Refuge for Women charity. 

WHAT YOU’LL GET:

• a complimentary one hour lifestyle (natural) family session at a preferred location, or your home

• a full wardrobe styling service, with access to and use of the DVP client closet (full of gorgeous items for moms and children ages 0-10 years of age)

• a session designed around mom, to include poses of the whole family, mom with each child, mom and children together, and any other poses to help tell mom’s story

• all the preparation, planning and designing that goes into a full lifestyle family session with DVP

• a complimentary 5×7 matted print (all other prints/digitals may be ordered separately)

WHAT’S REQUIRED:

• a mama with a family of at least one child, aged 6 mos – 10 years old (expecting moms may enter as well)

• willing to have images shared on social media, website, and art exhibit held at The Mix in Niantic, CT
